Support phonics and word recognition with this hands-on high frequency word set, designed to help children learn and practise words from phases 2 to 5 in a fun and interactive way.

The set includes 40 double-sided, colour-coded cards, with 10 cards for each phase. Children choose a card with the coloured side facing up to reveal the picture clue, then identify the correct word to match the gap. They lace the word beads together and place the completed word onto the card. Only one word will fit, and the answer can be checked on the reverse, making this a great resource for both independent learning and guided activities.

The coloured beads match the relevant phases, with orange, dark purple and light purple beads to support visual recognition and progression. A white bead with an apostrophe is also included, allowing children to build high frequency words that include punctuation. The beads can also be used independently to create pseudo words, helping to strengthen phonic recognition and decoding skills.
